The Base Shell consists of the following main elements :

  1. A galvanized metal frame which raises the structure about 2 feet over the ground.
  2. The 8 feet high wall enclosure built out of structural SIP panels.
  3. An additional 2 feet high metal transom frame.
  4. Finally the roof deck also built entirely with SIP panels.

The base shell is basically built mainly with SIP panels which are very light weight but strong structural panels. They consist of a inner layer of 4 inch Foam and two outer skins of fiber cement boards. The whole sandwich gets glued together with a special polyurethane adhesive. Those Sip panels are very light weight and have a very high R value.
