This bali style construction project in Uvita Costa Rica consists of one open air Pavilion with dimensions 56×21 feet built entirely out of Brazilian Cherry. The owners wanted a completely open house with only the bathroom area within walls. The whole frame got stained and oiled with natural tung oil. The building is raised on columns 1-6 feet in the air over the existing terrain. The decking material used was 3/4 inch Brazilian Cherry decking fastened with corrosion resistant fasteners. For roofing material Decra steel tiles where used. The hardwood doors, kitchen, bathroom cabinets as well as wardrobes where built by the ManuPrefab shop.
